Training at the track tonight and a relatively easy night. After foot problems the last two weeks, tonight things took an ominous turn. Again, during the warm up I felt pain in my left foot, only this was a pin prick type pain on the side of my foot. Gonna have to monitor that one closely
Anyhoo, after the usual warm ups, we had to do a 2 km effort surging the straights and floating the bends
Then the instruction was a medium 1 km effort, and a hard 1 km effort to finish off. I was very cranky with myself for ripping out a 3:12 on what was supposed to be the "medium" effort
As a result, I had to work pretty hard on the hard effort and managed a 2:59 so very pleased with that
TOTAL DISTANCE = about 5 kilometres including warm up and down
