Had to stay home from work this morning, so Kylie could get half a day in at her own work

We did the switch at kunchtime and I went into work for a half day. Problem was, I am so busy at work, that I did not get to leave until 7:30 pm

Decided on a 75 minute or roughly 15 kilometre run home. I am pretty certain that my slow runs are generally in the 4:30 - 4:45 range, but it just makes it easier to average it out at 5 min/km pace

Ran the usual route, but added a loop of Princes Park and also went onto the Merri Creek bike path from St Georges Rd

All up about 74 minutes and job done. While I probably should have done a two hour run, I stuffed up my program whereby, I have ended up with five weeks of long runs before the Half Marathon. So have decided to split this up with three long run weeks, one shorter run week, then two longer runs into the HM. So this Saturday will do two hours, the following weekend two hours and then the following weekend is the Half. I did do a 26 km run on the Sunday before the Half last year and ran a PB, so hopefully this will work again. Have looked at two Advanced HM training programs and they both have 2 hour runs the weekend before the race. Hopefully this short week won't cost me

TOTAL DISTANCE : about 15 kilometres
