Again woke up with heavy legs today and the prospect of a run home from work looming on the horizon. Work went pretty much like yesterday with various club matters to attend to between bursts of actual work, although I think I got a lot more work done today
Left the office a bit later than I was intending at 6:15 pm. From here its about 50 minutes home. Left corner of William and Collins, ran up William St to the Vic Market then up Peel Street to the big roundabout. From the roundabout ran up Royal Parade to Park Street and got there with bang on 20 minutes on the watch. The pace was a little quicker than it should have been for a slow run at about 4:15 per km
It was here that I decided to run to St Georges Rd and catch the tram the rest of the way home. I figured that as I already had a 50 min medium run on Monday, what I need to be doing is having a one long and one shorter run each week. Ideally my longer runs are building up to 1.5 hours and my shorter runs I really want to be only half that
Anyhoo, having sorted that stuff out in my head, got to St Georges Rd in a nice even 30 minute run. Would work out later that it amounted to 6.8 kilometres all up
Walked in the door to find the children in the bath so hopped in with them. Got them dried, dressed and ready for bed then had a very large bowl of spaghetti bolognaise. Ended up having too much. In order to get the training weight down, I really need to stop eating once I am full. It will be interesting to see what the scales say tomorrow. Didn't help that Kylie bought some dip and yummy breads and around a half hour after I finished eating we got stuck into those
On the computer doing club stuff until 1:00 am then crashed into bed
TOTAL DISTANCE = 6.8 kilometres
