Supposed to go for 50 minute LSD today, but woke up with a bit of a hangover from Rey's rum he left here from NYE and three noisy children around 7:00 am. A bit hard to take given 30 degree temperatures during the night (eventually dropped to 24 at 6 am!) and that problem middle child woke up screaming at 11:00 pm and could not be consoled. Had to give her a lukewarm shower and she eventually settled down and we all got to bed around 12:45 am
Anyhoo at 7:00 am there was nothing for it except to give them breakfast and littlest one her bottle and lay comatose on couch until 8:30 am whereupon I decided I could do that better in bed. Made Kylie get up and she let me sleep until 9:30 am. Bless her!
Kylie had to go shopping which negated my being able to go for a run then it was off to Southland for lunch with brother-in-law for his birthday. Dinner at his place - pretty awful takeway runny pasta and oily pizza - and off home again with all children falling asleep before we'd even left Cheltenham
Lunchtime long run tomorrow for first day back at work. Thank goodness for some peace and quiet!!
