Went to bed quite late last night and didn't fall asleep until 1:00 am

Stayed in bed this morning for as long as I could but had to get up at 8:00 am to help Kylie with the children. As today was a hill session some distance from the track, alas I could not take Hamish

Ran to the track in a pleasant 12 minutes or so and waited for people to arrive, the car park where we were supposed to meet conspicuous by its absence of people wanting to train. Eventually six people showed - including a rare Saturday cameo from Brazza - and off we went

We went across to the lake. On the opposite bank from the Murray Road side, there is a long slow rising hill that runs for about 150 metres. This is where we went. We did two sets of four hill efforts (jog back down) with a half effort recovery between the two sets. Really impressed with the way Michael J went today and his fitness is coming along nicely

After that it was a jog back to the car park whereupon Saint Diane drove me home. Afternoon was taken up with shopping in Northland and a supermarket bought cooked chicken for dinner with mash and peas

A visit to my mother's house tomorrow with the children then off to my first pro meet of the summer at Ringwood. Should be an interesting day!

TOTAL DISTANCE = about 6 kilometres (including running to the track)
