New Year's Day

Cricket match down at the club today, so no running done other than to chase the large hits emanating from the pies I was throwing down the wicket

Great day as no hangover from quiet NYE party at our place the night before and not many people at the track becuase of the 40 degree heat. One wondered aloud if this could spell the end of the New Year's Day cricket match

Anyway, after two hours inside the stuffy clubrooms and the children getting more cricketing action with myself and Chris than all the other adults, a few hardy souls elected to pop their heads outside to find that the cool change had come through

Shane Jansen came down and he decided to come on to bowl only when I was batting. The end result being I got bowled about six times but did manage to score two lusty blows

Off home around 4:30 pm to nice air-conditioned lounge-room and pizza for dinner with the children. Two very tired older bubbies off to bed quite early
