Rest day today. At least it wasn't supposed to be. But after the baby was up yet again before 7:00 am i just did not have the energy or motivation to get out for a run. I was feeling really heavy in the legs and extremely fuzzy in the head from sleep deprivation. I should really try to get to bed before 11:00 pm one of these nights

After having noticed a wet discharge from Amelia's ear last night, we took her to the doctors this morning whereupon we waited 90 minutes to get seen. Our suspicions were realised with ear infection the diagnosis. No wonder she was up bawling the other night! So that took a chunk out of our morning and by the time we had got medicine and did some shopping for that night's dinner, it was after midday

We were supposed to meet up with the family for a 1:00 pm bbq at Happy Valley on Golden Beach. So you can imagine my chagrine when we arrived there at that time to find all the food cooked and everyone had eaten! Not happy Jan.

I took Amelia to the playground while my mother took the baby in the pram for her sleep and Hamish for a walk. Amelia at least had a good time as the below pics show :



After everyone left, we invited my cousin to stay with us in the apartment. She was keen to do so, but unknown to us her mother my auntie Heather and the rest of her party had already made plans to depart. So Rosie went back to Brisbane

In the meantime, we spent some time on the beach with the children, then I cooked spaghetti bolognaise for the children's dinner
