There were heaps of people at training tonight despie the heat. And heaps more girls than guys there which is a good sign for the winter season (hopefully). I suspect our winter mens teams aren't going to be quite as stong this season and we may struggle to fill division 6, let alone division 7. i guess we wait and see
it was pretty hot in the sun so Brian had us do 300's, which I was a bit surprised about. However, he did say that after every second one we could grab a quick drink. Warren Burke - who seems to be back training with us once again - reckoned that would add an extra minute to the recoivery time and he was pretty much spot on
Was very happy with the 300's. The recovery was 100 walk recovery to the next one, then a grab drink recovery after each second one. I managed to do them at slightly quicker than 1500 pace - was doing 49's pretty much consistently so was happy with that. However at the end of the session I was still feeling pretty strong so maybe could have worked harder
Plan to meet Shane Jansen tomorrow for slow recovery run so that should be fun. When I got home tonight it was still 33 degrees and that was an hour after I finished training. Can't imagine how warm it was while we were out there
TOTAL DISTANCE = about 2.5 kilometres (not including walk recoveries)
