Training was with Brian up at the track tonight and again Brian gave us an interesting session
There were two sets. The first set was a three kilometre continuous run with each kilometre to increase in intensity. However the first km had to be very easy, the second one slightly quicker and the third km quicker again but at half marathon pace
My first kilometre was easy enough at 4:10 pace, but the second one was way to quick at 3:40 and the last kilometre not too bad at 3:30. John Braszell was running with me through the first km, but he finished the set as we were supposed to
After a slow lap recovery and a very short break, we finished with a two kilometre set. Brazza paced me through 3:45 for the first kilometre, before I finished off with 3:15 for the second kilometre. Again way too fast, given it was supposed to be only a slight quickening of pace
TOTAL DISTANCE : about 6.5 kilometres including warm up and down
