Had a meeting at Aberfeldie tonight so posted a letter off to RunJaneRun and then left work to head off to Essendon for a track session devised by Brian
The session called for 3 sets of 5 x 300's with 100 m job between each effort and 5 mins between the sets. Was running short on time so only had 4 mins break between 1 and 2 and 4.5 minbs break before set 3
Not sure what I was doing the first set in becuase i set off with the 300 first only to find the 300 is not marked on the track like at Coburg! doh!! But in set's two and three I started off the 100 jog recovery and started at the 1500 metre start with the finish on the finish line
Very pleased to run through each of those at 53 seconds each, with barely a second in deviation. Last one I pumped out in 51 seconds. Very pleased with myself but with it having been two weeks essentially since my last real competition run, I should be able to pump out good 300's with such fresh legs
TOTAL DISTANCE = about 6.5 kilometres including warm up and down
